A Message From Texas Nightlife

We're Texas Nightlife and we are 30 year veterans of the music business. We have played, separately and together, all across the country. We are all singers and a song writers. We are all proud members of ASCAP and strongly support the rights of other artists and songwriters. We chose the name "Texas Nightlife" because, as Willie says, "the nightlife aint no good life, but it's our life." We still perform live at the age of 50 and will probably continue to perform for many years to come. I love entertaining, not for the rush, but for the enjoyment of making folks happy and helping them forget about their problems for a few hours. We are currently signed with Century Decca Records based out of Nashville, Tennessee. We are primarily a duo, three piece band but I also do some solo work. Before this I was lead singer for New Beginnings for many years. This band also included my ex-wife as well as other long time friends. My history before that was varied to included 60's-70's garage bands so I've been around the block a bit. I would say my music is influenced by George Strait and Vern Gosdin as well as Sammy Kershaw. I also had the luck of having an uncle who was personal friends with Johnny Cash while growing up as a kid. Alamosa, Colorado is my favorite place to play. We use standard PA systems, I play 12 string, and we use primarily midi files for live performances. You can get even more information about me and the band at my home page, Ken Osheim's Homepage. There is also a songwriters' showcase where we help other artists and writers get their songs heard. I am proud to announce that I am a co-founder of a new music hosting site that has just recently launched. The site, http://www.songcast.net/ is currently in the "concept" phase where we are taking ideas and feedback from members and making it what YOU want the site to be. We will are up and running already, so come on over and join the fun. The Forums are up now so chime in what you want to see at http://www.songcast.net/.
